200 Hour Holistic Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in Goa, India

This Vinyasa Yoga & Primary Series Teacher Training Course in Goa and Dharamsala is an intensive program that will advance your level of practice and help you build the confidence to practice the more challenging aspects of Vinyasa and Ashtanga Vinyasa practices in a safe and natural way.

Along with the physical components of the practice, you will also study and learn Yoga philosophy, history, anatomy, pranayamas, use of bandhas, drishtis, mudras and different styles of meditation to make your Yoga practice complete according to the original teachings of Yoga, all this while keeping an emphasis on alignment, adjustments and modifications to ensure that all the students reach their maximum potential during the course.

This beginner 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course is suitable for those who want to deepen their knowledge and improve their level of practice, already Yoga teachers looking to incorporate Hatha Yoga & Hatha Flow to their classes and to those that for lack of time or other reasons can't complete the full 200Hr Yoga Teacher Training.

REQUIREMENTS:

There are no specific requirements to join this course and prior Yoga experience is not compulsory to enrol in the teacher training, however, we recommend a regular practice of a minimum of 6 months. Please take into account that the time you have devoted to your personal practice is on the arbitrary standards and you will not be judged in any way for your practice or your knowledge, therefore students of all levels can join the course. Our aim is to prepare you to improve and become proficient in your self-practice.

In order to successfully complete the 200Hr Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training Course, you will be required to attend to all classes. If you cannot meet the attendance requirements of the Teacher Training you will be given a certificate of participation, but not "completion".

200HR VINYASA YOGA & PRIMARY SERIES TTC - WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Week 1 is dedicated to the principles of Vinyasa Yoga. During this week you will get introduced to the main and most important concepts of modern Hatha Flow and Vinyasa Yoga, how to coordinate movement and breath, how to sequence a professional Hatha Flow and Vinyasa Yoga class to respond to students needs, how to modify important asanas of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Primary Series and transition between asanas in a safe way to prevent injuries, etc. Surya Namaskar Ashtanga Vinyasa Style ( A&B) will be introduced in this week as well as Chandra Namaskar (Moon Salutation).

The students will be introduced to Yogic/Ayurvedic Anatomy and Western anatomy, Pranayama practice and Meditation techniques are also an important part of this week as well as lectures and workshops on alignment and hands-on adjustments.

History, Ashtanga Yoga of Patanjali (8 limbs of Yoga) philosophy and classical Yoga books like the Bhagavad Gita, the Upanishads and the Vedas will also be discussed and explained in depth during the 2nd week of the teacher training.

Week 2 is dedicated to Hatha Flow and the principles of Vinyasa Yoga. During this week you will get introduced to the main and most important concepts of modern Hatha Flow and Vinyasa Yoga, how to coordinate movement and breath, how to sequence a professional Hatha, Hatha Flow and Vinyasa Yoga class to respond to students needs, how to modify important asanas and transition between asanas in a safe way to prevent injuries, etc.

Although guided Ashtanga Vinyasa practice in combination with gentle evening flow, pranayama and meditation are the key elements of this week the students will learn how to develop and monitor their own practice with the tools provided during the course under the guidance of WellnessInnYoga & Ayurveda's faculty, hence, allowing them to progress even after the course is finished.
