This specially curated YIN YOGA WORKSHOP will be relaxing and restorative for participants. We will start from the foundations as we journey within through the traditional practice of Yin Yoga.

This workshop is an Invitation to understanding through experience, firstly what Yin Yoga is. You will then learn how we can bring a balance of Yin (physically, emotionally and spiritually) into what can often be a Yang dominated world.

Yin Yoga is the process of applying moderate pressure during asana (on specifically targeted meridian lines and acupressure points), in order to consciously reduce and removing physical and emotional blockages. This ancient practice has been used for centuries in order to help energy/prana/chi move more freely.

We would like to welcome everybody to experience Yoga and meditation in a peaceful and rejuvenating environment. Even if you are new to Yoga, you will get a chance to experience the benefits and learn the fundamentals of this ancient practice. Come relax and unwind in the tranquil setting of our peaceful centre at Ashwem beach.

This workshop is openly available to everybody and no previous Yoga experience is needed, just a desire and commitment to learn and embrace the knowledge shared by teachers. Yin yoga is a deep and nourishing practice that is accessible for all bodies and levels of yoga experience.

From those who are new to yoga, or if you are a teacher wanting to then add this to your skills to share, or if this course is for personal development , our teachers will ensure you complete the course feeling nourished, calmer, cleansed and with a deeper, knowledgeable understanding of the true essence of Yin Yoga.


This workshop Lead Teacher is Lucy, a 700RYS passionate Yoga teacher and teacher trainer who feels everyone should have the chance to experience the power of Yin - a healing and transformative Yoga practice from deep within.


Over 5 days we will explore Yin in relation to:-

  • The body (anatomically and physiologically)
  • Prana (energy/vital life force/breath work),
  • Meditation and subtle Yin qualities,
  • TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine including meridian lines and acupressure points),
  • Asana (postures),
  • Yin Yoga as a form of therapy,
  • Yoga and the seasons (Taoist cosmology),
  • Yoga Nidra (deep guided relaxation)

Our schedule for this course means that you will enjoy plenty of time embracing Yin Yoga as a practice, as we believe through experience is the best way to learn.

Morning and evening Yin Yoga + Yoga Nidra classes will be subtly filled with the theory we are learning during classroom (theory) time. This course covers a broad range of inspiring facts and philosophies from the Yin and Traditional Yoga background. With several passionate and highly knowledgeable Yoga teachers leading the course, there will be plenty of opportunities for open discussions, space to learn and ask questions to discover the true meaning of Yoga.
